Sunday Sabbath

Some Black Sabbath news first, Ozzy is suing for equal partenrship in the Black Sabbath trademark, claiming the trademark was revitalized after the reunion tours. Here is a link. While I do kinda agree with the Ozzy camp, this likely makes it doubtful for a last album or tour since they are all in their 60's.

So let's go back to the old days, Sabbath doing a cover of Blue Suede Shoes.

Saturday in Detention?

Great flick from the 80's that took place on a Saturday morning. I think we all had a little Bender in us. The cast was perfect, the highlight of all thier careers I would say. Gotta love when they lit up. Here is a very cool, short clip below, after Bender saves the others from getting caught.

Dust Days

Can't remember how we ever got across the George Washington Bridge

The White Mustang is highly missed and great memories will stay in our minds forever. I seriously can't remember a single time how we got back to WNY from our Dust days. From the Album Angel Dust here is smaller and smaller. FNM Rocks!!

What? It's only Wednesday??!!

Cali chicks are sweet. Below is the proof.

Let's chill Cali Style and start looking forward to Friday. The Red Hot Chilli Peppers is a way to start. The band formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1983. For most of the band's existence, the members have been vocalist Anthony Kiedis, guitarist John Frusciante, bassist Michael "Flea" Balzary, and drummer Chad Smith. The band's varied musical style has fused traditional rock and funk with various elements of punk rock, and psychedelic rock.

Happy Hump Day will like to tell you to mellow out this Wednesday. Lay back, relax and enjoy some Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Happy Hump Day Bitches!!

The Hanging of Captain Kidd

Today in 1701, English Privateer William "Captain" Kidd was hung for murder and piracy. His story is an interesting one and new revelations have come out the last few decades, I recommend the book Pirate Hunter if you are interested in the truth about him. In honor of Captain Kidd, here is Maiden with Rime of the Ancient Mariner (part 2)....

TGIF would to end the week with Judas Priest, they have been cited as an influence on many heavy metal musicians and bands. Their popularity and status as one of the definitive heavy metal bands has earned them the nickname "Metal Gods"

Happy Hump Day!

Wednesdays in Costa Rica!

Right about now you're thinking of many ways to dispose of your boss. Better yet, the HR person since they all suck. If you grew up in the East Coast and were around on the 80's, then you know Anthrax. The band was one of the most popular of the 1980s thrash metal scene and is notable for being the first to combine heavy metal with rap music. The band is classified as one of the "big four" of thrash metal alongside Metallica, Megadeth, and Slayer

Here is something I would love to do to my boss on Wednesday afternoon. Which is throw his skinny ass in a Mosh Pit. Motherfucker would never survive. Enjoy and Happy Hump Day Bitches!!

Sunday Sabbath

In the Star Trek movie, the bad guy was named Nero, and it reminded me of Zero, so this Sunday, instead of Father Ozzy, we have Father Ian with Zero the Hero from the 1983 album, Born Again. Man my Mom hated that album cover.

Live Long and Prosper

Today I saw the new Star Trek Movie, in this post I will give my overall thoughts on the movie itself without giving away any spoilers. I am a fan of the entire franchise (5 TV series and 10 movies), but my favorite by far is The Original Series.

First let me say that JJ Abrams did a fantastic job in revitalizing the franchise. The movie itself has a great story, a great villain, and of course the old characters that both casual fans and Trekkies love. The opening sequence is amazing and sets the tone for new Trek. I think the movie was fantastic, I will buy the Blu-ray, go to all the sequels.

Leonard Nimoy’s participation is key in both bridging the story and bring legitimacy to the movie with the more hardcore fans. I cannot say more to this without spoilers. In the dialogue there are many references that will be lost on the casual fan but are gold nuggets to the more hardcore fans. The actors and the writing for each character really made it feel a kinship to the original characters. The story itself is well written and clear, with great action and character development.

So basically I give it 4.5 stars as a SciFi fan and 4 Stars as a Trekkie.

Below, one of my all times favorite Trek scenes.

Thank God It's Friday!!

1977 was a beautiful year. Son of Sam was a big hit in New York City and we were all introduced to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Angus Young. He was young scrawny and one of the meanest guitarist to ever rock this earth. TGIF would like to start your weekend with “Let there be Rock”. There is nothing like smoking a Dak and head banging your head to this song. "Thank god it’s Friday Bitches!!"

Thanks Obama!

Just announced yesterday that Chrysler will not payback any of the $7 Billion bailout cash due to bankruptcy terms. Why didn't they just go to Bankruptcy in the first place? This is just the beginning as it's looking the same for GM and thier $25 Billion. Shit Sucks. Here is the link.

http://money.cnn.com/2009/05/05/news/companies/chrysler_loans/

Below is fucking Santa Clause asking for his bailout. Why not, it makes as much sense as the others.

Happy Hump Day!!

This is just a little reminder that Friday is not that far out. This should get you through the next couple days with out any issues. I personally love young 21 year old ass, due to Zero wrinkles on the cheeks.

If you are mad at your boss cause you have a deadline by Friday or they are just being a fucking jerks, here is a good way to shut them up. Play some of this in your cubicle or office space. All Hail Mike Patton from Faith No More. His music is crazy enough to have your boss leave you alone for a while. Enjoy Bitches!!
